R&D project manager, Swiss firm
The Swiss firm is a specialty chemicals company with a leading position in the development and production of systems and products for bonding, sealing, damping, reinforcing and protecting in the building sector and the motor vehicle industry. The Swiss firm has subsidiaries in 101 countries around the world and manufactures in over 200 factories. Its more than 25,000 employees generate annual sales of CHF 7.09 billion.
The China entity is located in Shanghai Pudong in Waigaoqiao free trade zone and employ 60 persons including production, R&D, administration and a sales force spread all over China.
Position：R&D Project Manager.
Report to: Laboratory Manager
Supervize: 1 Junior Chemist.
Responsible of key development projects with Epoxy Chemistry. (Dielectric encapsulation, adhesives and composites application)
Define and update of the customer’s requirements and manage your projects in full autonomy.
Search & source new raw material, visit suppliers, test & develop materials with them.
Formulate the new products in Laboratory with the assistance of the Junior chemist.
Test the new product internally or externally.
Follow-up the new products test at Customer and launch the product at the customer.
Cooperate with the China Market manager and the Global Market manager to select key projects to develop the business.
Cooperate with Global and local R&D teams within the The Swiss firm group. Keep yourself updated with latest technologies and materials.
Potential career development: Laboratory Manager or Technical Manager in the entity or in other The Swiss firm group entities.
PhD or Master degree in Chemistry, Polymer or Material sciences.
5 to 10 year experience in R&D. Experience in Epoxy or Polyurethane is a plus. Experience in Dielectric encapsulation resin is a plus. Experience in Composites is a plus.
Fast learner and hand on experience on product application and technical processes.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills，Hard work and team work spirit are necessary.
Fluent in oral and written English. French or German language is a plus.
Good knowledge and skills on office software
